Maybe it’s because it reminds us of a beautiful sunny day when we were young care free kids. Remember when the ice cream man would come down the block playing that annoying yet enchanting jingle. You would get that chocolate dipped on a cone. You would cool down so fast. And remember when the ice cream would begin to melt so you Would just lick the cone before it dropped.
Well that long winded story was my way of saying going on a date for some ice cream is never ever a bad idea, unless your partner is lactose intolerant and or a vegan… But throughout the summer I really enjoy getting ice cream or Italian ice. In downtown Brooklyn at Brooklyn Pier 5 there is an amazing Ice Cream shop called Ample Hill Cremery. If you been over there before but never tried it you need to go back. Imagine an amazing Ice cream cone followed by a nice stroll along the Piers @Brooklyn Bridge Park. If you’re lucky enough they’re showing a movie at the park. But there’s so many things you can do. You might even just sit at a bench and enjoy the view. Time it just right and catch the sun going down. That memory will last forever!!! Never underestimate how far such a simple date could go!
Honestly I can’t do Breyer or Turkey hill anymore. When you get premium ice cream you really can’t go back. There’s a clear difference taste-wise! Pictured below is the Ooey Gooey Buttercake topped with the Peppermint Pattie. Every little morsel is full of amazing flavor. Honestly this is the best ice cream I have ever tasted. The prices aren’t too bad either. $7 for a large cone…… Bruh Come on!!! The cone tasted amazing too. Honestly the large was too much to eat at one time.
Don’t think about as just going for ice cream. I truly believe going on a date should be an experience! Something that will live on in your shared memory with that special somebody. Especially if it’s in the beginning phase of dating. You want to have those opportunities to have a 1 on 1 conversation. You might forget about that conversation eventually but I guarantee you won’t forget how good that ice cream was. Or how happy y’all were as y’all partook in that shared experience in that one moment in time. The little things count. The little things and those little moments add up to a special relationship with a person who at some point you may feel you’re prepared to do more than just causually date.
💓💓💓💓 perfect for dates or just for getting some darn ice cream!!! They’re closed in the winter though.
